The public is invited to join the 8th in a series of walks in and about Sebastopol for 2009.  Join Laguna de Santa Rosa Foundation docents for a second exploration of Laguna land not open to the public.  This hike south of Highway 12 will follow Laguna trail routes proposed by the Open Space District. From the Plaza the route will follow the Rodota Trail from the Sebastopol Railroad Forest through Brown Farm, with a break under big valley oaks. Docents will discuss  Laguna plants and animals, and the importance of wetland habitats.

Meet at the Sebastopol town plaza at 9 a.m. The 4-mile route over easy terrain will take about 3 hours. Sturdy shoes and light colored clothes (for easier tick identification) and long pants are recommended. Bring water, snacks, a hat, sunscreen, and binoculars
