Join Sebastopol Walks for a 3rd year of interesting walks in and around Sebastopol. Leave the car behind, stick with that new year resolution to excercise, and enjoy walking with companionable people in the great small town of Sebastopol.

Our first walk of the year, on Saturday January 29, starts at the plaza, right in the middle of town, at 9 a.m. We will follow a circular path to visit the Laguna Preserve, the Rodota Bike Path, Ragle Ranch Park. Burbank’s Gold Ridge Farm and pleasant neighborhoods. You can join us for up to eight miles but feel free to leave at anytime.  The full eight mile hike will take about 4 hours to complete. No advance sign up is necessary.

Bring water, snacks or lunch, good walking shoes and rain gear if weather threatens.

Richard Nichols is the leader for the Walkabout.

The walks are based on the book “Sebastopol Walks”, and can be purchased on the walk, at City Hall or the Chamber of Commerce for $3.00.

I will be co-leading the next walk, on Saturday, Feb. 26 — a reprise of last year’s Watershed walk.
