I always enjoy seeing books with a personal connection, so I was pleased to see that my friend Ben Pease, of Pease Press, had created the winery map for Marty Olmstead’s California Directory of Fine Wines. I just cataloged the 3rd ed. for the Sonoma County Wine Library (a special collection at the Healdsburg Regional Library). Ben has produced many fine maps, both under his own imprint and under contract. He was the cartographer behind the Sonoma County Agricultural Preservation and Open Space District’s attractive Sonoma County Parks, Recreational Lands & Open Spaces map and put together several maps for the my old trail group, the Trail Center, in Palo Alto, Calif.
